  • Business & Entrepreneurship in the Start-Up Nation

    Dubbed one of the most innovative cities in the world, Tel Aviv is the perfect setting to study business, innovation, and entrepreneurship in depth.

  • Middle East & Jewish Studies

    How and why does religion factor into the Arab-Israeli conflict? 

    What is the dilemma of religious movements and democracy? 

    How does Iran affect the region and, in particular, Israel? 

    What is political identity, and how does it define Israel and its neighbors? 

    With the emergence of modern varieties of Judaism, how do Jews around the world identify and define themselves, and how does this affect national and political identity in Israel?

  • Smart Cities

    The unprecedented growth of population in urban environments over the last decades makes the smartification of cities a timely topic.

    The focus of this program will be on the design of human-technology interfaces, understanding the beliefs we always form and update regarding the surrounding artifacts, and the relationships we create with apps, bots, machines, and with other people. Pedestrian cognition, for example, is hugely affected by new modes of sensation, perception, behavioral intentions, and actual behaviors.

    Financial Technology (FinTech) is all the buzz, where technology meets innovation to revolutionize traditional financial methods in the delivery of financial services. The use of smartphones for mobile banking, investing services, and cryptocurrency are examples of technologies aiming to make financial services more accessible to the general public.

  • Summer Research Program in the Sciences

    Join us for a unique 8-week program where you’ll experience science first-hand and become part of a research group at Tel Aviv University. You’ll be assigned to a variety of labs in the sciences under the supervision of an experienced scientist while serving as full-fledged members of the scientific team.

    The program will culminate with a Final Symposium where you’ll present your research findings to the rest of your group and faculty.

Language Programs

  • Intensive Hebrew Ulpan

    Hebrew is one of the world’s oldest languages and one of Israel’s official languages (together with Arabic).  The revival of the Hebrew language is nothing short of a miracle, moving from a language of prayer to a spoken and written language used for everyday life in Israel, with 9 million native speakers worldwide.

    It doesn't matter if you know zero Hebrew, can string a few words together, or even converse like a native, our Intensive Hebrew Ulpan has levels for all.

  • Arabic

    Arabic is one of Israel’s official languages, with 1.7 million speakers here (about 20% of the population) and 420 million people worldwide who speak Arabic.

    Where better to study Arabic than Israel?  Here Arabic is spoken widely by Israeli Muslims, Christians, and Druze, as well as by Jews who came from Arab countries.  

    As part of the course, you also visit the Arab-Israeli community, discover their culture, sample their foods, and even participate in a homestay with a local family, all while practicing your new language!

 

  • Yiddish Summer Program

    Oy vey!  You probably know and use the word’ chutzpah,’ but do you know the difference between “schmuck” and “shmooze”?

    This renowned international program focuses on Yiddish language and literature and is taught in small class settings. Lessons are held in the morning with afternoon programs consisting of guest lectures, conversation workshops, evening concerts, and trips to local sites of Yiddish culture.

    Do you play a musical instrument - bring it to class with you!

  • Advanced English Program

    Do you need to ‘up’ your English level before beginning or continuing in higher education?  Then our Advanced English Program is for you.

    The program was designed for those who want to improve their academic English. You’ll focus on reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills in academic contexts. You’ll learn to build an academic vocabulary, read more efficiently, write academic papers, listen to lectures and note-take,  participate in seminar discussions, and deliver oral presentations.

    The perfect course for you before embarking on your undergraduate or graduate studies.

 

  • TAKA: Prep Program for Academic Hebrew

    Can you read, speak, and write Hebrew at a Alef level?  Do you want to start or continue your education taught in Hebrew?

    If yes, then you can enroll in our TAKA Prep Program for Academic Hebrew.  You'll immerse yourself in intensive preparation for academic studies taught in Hebrew. You'll perfect and polish your language skills to be able to continue to a Hebrew taught course, program, degree, or Ph.D.

 

Summer Graduate and Professional Programs 

  • Advanced Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine

    The recent outbreak and rapid spread of Coronavirus show there is an urgent need for more joined-up thinking among public health officials.

    Enroll in our Advanced Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine, and you’ll be collaborating among physicians, public health officials, scholars, and students from around the world to study and discuss topics of disease and medicine.

    The program is open to graduate and qualified undergraduate students (MPH and MSc in Epidemiology students, MD and Ph.D. candidates, and others with a particular interest in Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine), and also to medical professionals interested in developing advanced skills in Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine.

 

  • Food Safety & Security

    Explore the many dimensions of food security.  You’ll be among students and lecturers from different countries and disciplines to develop a new “language” of food security – in a manner of true interdisciplinary education.

    You can dive deep into specific fields with two tracks offered: Agriculture and Policy and Nutrition.  You’ll start each track with an Introduction to Food Security course covering global food security issues ranging from modern approaches to crop development and agro economics to the intersection between health, agriculture, post-harvest, and nutrition.
