Overview

The Israel Scholars Program is a new international MA initiative being established at TAU.

The program aims to become one of the world's leading graduate programs in Global Affairs, bringing together exceptional young leaders from around the world for a fully funded, highly selective, interdisciplinary experience focused on diplomacy, technology, entrepreneurship, security, and the Middle East.

The Founding Program Associate will work closely with the program leadership across strategy, operations, donor relations, communications, academic coordination, and special projects.

The role is intentionally broad and dynamic, and will evolve over time based on the needs of the program and the strengths of the person selected.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving, entrepreneurial environments and enjoys turning ideas into execution.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Operational Support

• Support the establishment and ongoing development of the program
• Help build operational processes, timelines, systems, etc.
• Coordinate between TAU stakeholders, external partners, and program leadership
• Conduct research and benchmarking on comparable international academic and leadership programs

External Relations, Budgeting & Reporting

• Support budget preparation, financial tracking, and reporting
• Prepare presentations, updates, reports, and briefing materials
• Support communication and coordination with donors, advisors, and senior external stakeholders

Academic & Program Coordination

• Help organize and centralize academic discussions, planning processes, and program development
• Coordinate across faculty, visiting scholars, and academic partners
• Support planning related to curriculum, events, student experience, or recruitment

Special Projects

• Support cross-functional projects involving external vendors, consultants, architects, designers, and university stakeholders
• Assist with operational, strategic, and logistical projects as they emerge
• Potential travel to the United States and other locations for meetings and program-related activities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree is an advantage
• Experience in consulting, strategy, academia, philanthropy, international programs, startups, policy, operations, or related fields –at least 3 years
• Familiarity with higher education or international programs is a plus
• Outstanding organizational and project management skills
• Excellent writing and communication abilities in English and Hebrew
• Strong interpersonal skills and professional maturity
• Ability to manage multiple complex workstreams simultaneously
• High attention to detail and strong execution skills
• Comfort working independently in an evolving environment
• Strategic thinker with a hands-on mindset
• Strong judgment, discretion, and reliability
