Academic Staff Exchange
Tel-Aviv University welcomes academic staff from Erasmus+ partner universities under the Erasmus+ mobility program.
This program offers funding opportunities for academic staff that seeking a teaching period at TAU.
Application Procedure
- Applications for an Erasmus+ Teaching Mobility period are processed at your home institution. Please contact your local international office to check the opportunities available with TAU.
- Find an academic host in your field of research at TAU. Review the list of TAU academic units on the university's website.
- Contact the potential host directly by email, confirm the dates and details of your visit. If difficulties in connecting the host occur, contact the TAU Partnerships coordinator at partnerships@tauex.tau.ac.il for assistance with the initial approach to them.
- Ask your local international office for the personal Erasmus+ Mobility agreement. Fill in the agreement, sign it yourself and receive the signature from your local international office. Send the signed agreement to TAU Partnerships coordinator (partnerships@tauex.tau.ac.il ).
- Please note, TAU can sign such agreements only after the signature of the European institution which provides the funds.

- Fill out the form for TAU incoming staff before the mobility. It is needed for TAU internal purposes.
It is recommended to start the process at least 3 months in advance before your arrival.
Visa
You may be required to obtain a visa to Israel, depending on your passport. For further information, please contact the Israeli Embassy in your home country.
Insurance
Faculty members arriving at Tel Aviv University must have a full medical and travel insurance policy that includes medical cover in the event of illness, accidents, or any other event that requires medical services. Such insurance must be arranged and paid for by the faculty member and cover their medical needs for the entire duration of the stay.
Accommodation
You may choose to stay in one of Tel Aviv's hotels, specifically in the Ramat Aviv district, where the TAU campus is located.
Some TAU visitors prefer to choose the Guest Apartment close to the TAU campus.
