Housing for Study Abroad & Exchange Students
Our Study Abroad and Exchange students can be housed in either single or double rooms in Einstein Dormitories, Broshim Dormitories, or in TAU Apartments off-campus dormitories (pending the approval of the home school). All housing is pending availability and TAUI decides the housing placements for these students accordingly. More information and sample apartment videos for Broshim dorms can be found here, and for Einstein dorms here.
All living spaces are furnished and contain a kitchenette, bathroom, WIFI, and A/C. In addition, in both Einstein and Broshim dorm complexes, students have easy access to a self-service laundry facility, a full-size grocery store, convenience stores and bakeries.
In all TAU Housing options, students are expected to provide their own bedding supplies and linens (pillow, sheets, towels, comforter), kitchen utensils, and cleaning supplies.
While students cannot make specific requests for housing placement locations during the application confirmation process, students eligible for housing will have the opportunity to request specific roommates or suitemates. We do our best to accommodate such requests, but it’s not guaranteed, and please don’t assume otherwise.
Students may also indicate during the confirmation process if there are special circumstances to take into consideration for housing purposes. We cannot guarantee special accommodation requests can be met, but we do what we can to accommodate needs when possible.
Students with confirmed housing placements will receive their housing location address in the weeks leading up to arrival.
The housing contact is: firstname.lastname@example.org. Prior to contacting them, we urge you to first make sure that you are confirmed student in the system (housing will not respond to students whose status is not confirmed) and that you have filled out the confirmation form with the details of your requests. Moreover, we always recommend that you CC our Students Abroad team (SAteam@tauex.tau.ac.il).
Please note that the following items are not supplied by TAU in any of the housing:
- Pillows or blankets
- Linens (sheets, pillowcases)
- Kitchen utensils
- Household goods (such as dishtowels, cleaning supplies, etc.)
See the Packing List and Pre-Departure Checklist for more information on what to bring with you or consult the Pre-Departure Handbook sent to you with your admissions email as this has extensive information on how to prepare for arrival.
TAU is not able to reimburse students for early withdrawal from TAU Housing including the dorms (See Refund Policy for more information).
