Travel Warnings
Please make sure you are aware of the warnings published periodically by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Security Council concerning staying abroad in general and specifically for the destination you are traveling to.
The National Security Council clarifies that the travel warnings published by them are only recommendations, and the decision to visit/stay in any location abroad is at the discretion and responsibility of the individual, considering the implications of the travel warning, risks other than terrorism, and Israeli law. You can follow the updated instructions here.
Tel Aviv University does not require you to travel, and the decision to do so is your personal responsibility. You agree not to raise any claims and/or demands against the university regarding this trip and release the university and/or its representatives from any liability in this regard.
Insurance
It is your responsibility to arrange travel insurance that matches your medical condition. The insurance must be valid from the day you depart for abroad until the day you return to Israel and must include full coverage for medical expenses that may arise due to an accident and/or other medical events requiring treatment, including expenses for medical evacuation, rescue, trip cancellation, shortening the trip, or exacerbation of an existing condition (if needed).
The insurance must also include third-party liability coverage according to the law. The university will not be responsible for any damages caused to you for any reason, including failure to arrange insurance or arranging insurance that is not appropriate for your medical condition. We recommend including travel cancellation coverage for any reason.
Funding
Please purchase your tickets and book accommodation only after you have been accepted by the TAU Committee and have received confirmation of your eligibility for the Erasmus+ grant from the European institution.
Erasmus funding may not fully cover the cost of the flight ticket and/or cancellations and changes to the flight due to the situation or for any other reason. We strongly advise you to choose only refundable accommodation and tickets.Each host institution has its own payment procedures and financial document requirements. We recommend keeping your boarding passes and payment confirmations until you receive the grant.
HR Approval
Conferences and training abroad, including flights, will be reported under the training/absence article with pay up to the daily standard and do not include non-working days (Friday-Saturday, holiday evenings and holidays, etc.). The travel days will be recognized as training days/absence with pay if they take place close to the conference (day before/after), subject to final approval by the Human Resources Department.
You will need to fill in this form to have travel days recognized as professional development days (training) if you have a permanent contract ('teken') or as paid leave if you are a project employee, and send the form to hrapply@tauex.tau.ac.il no later than two weeks before the travel.
Mandatory Preparation Workshop
There is a mandatory participation in the preparation workshop that will take place in March 2026 (information about the preparation day will be sent by email to the selected participants).
TAU Report
After returning to Israel, the employee must write a concluding TAU report detailing the professional tools acquired during the training.
If directed to do so by their manager, the employee may be required to present their concluding report to other members of their team/department

באחריותך לערוך ביטוח נסיעות לחו"ל התואם את מצבך הרפואי, הביטוח יהא בתוקף החל מיום היציאה לחו"ל ועד יום החזרה ארצה (כולל) ויכלול בין היתר כיסוי מלא להוצאות הרפואיות העלולות להיגרם כתוצאה מתאונה ו/או אירוע רפואי אחר הדורש טיפול רפואי לרבות: הוצאות בגין הטסה רפואית, חילוץ, ביטול וקיצור נסיעה, החמרת מצב קיים (באם נדרש). הביטוח אף יכלול כיסוי לאחריותך על פי דין כלפי צד ג' . יובהר כי האוניברסיטה לא תישא באחריות לנזקים שיגרמו לך מכל סיבה שהיא לרבות בגין אי עריכת ביטוח ו/או עריכת ביטוח אשר אינו הולם את מצבך הרפואי. אנו ממליצים לכלול ביטוח ביטול נסיעה מכל סיבה שהיא. - מימון
אנא רכשו כרטיסי טיסה והזמינו מקום לינה רק לאחר קבלת אישור מוועדת אוניברסיטת תל אביב ולאחר שקיבלתם אישור על זכאותכם למענק Erasmus+ מהמוסד האירופי. יתכן שמימון הארסמוס לא יכסה את עלות כרטיס הטיסה במלואו ו/או ביטולים ושינויים בטיסה לאור המצב או לאור כל סיבה אחרת. אנו ממליצים לבחור אך ורק כרטיסי טיסה ובהזמנות לינה הניתנים לביטול.
לכל מוסד מארח נהלי תשלום ודרישות שונות למסמכים פיננסיים. מומלץ לשמור את כרטיסי העלייה למטוס ואת אישורי התשלום עד לקבלת המענק.
- אישור המשרד למשאבי אנוש
כנסים והשתלמויות בחו"ל, לרבות טיסות, ידווחו בסמל השתלמות עד התקן היומי ואינם כוללים ימי אי עבודה (שישי שבת, ערבי חג, חגים וכד). ימי טיסות ידווחו בסמל השתלמות כאשר הם מתקיימים בסמוך לקיומו של הכנס (יום לפני/אחרי) ובהתאם לשיקול משאבי אנוש.
יש למלא את טופס הבקשה להכרה בימי נסיעה כימי השתלמות עבור עובד תקני/היעדרות בשכר למשאבי אנוש בקישור הבא ונשלח לכתובת hrapply@tauex.tau.ac.il לא יאוחר משבועיים לפני הנסיעה. - סדנת הכנה לקראת הנסיעה - השתתפות חובה
ההשתתפות בסדנת ההכנה היא חובה. הסדנה תתקיים בחודש מרץ 2026 (מידע נוסף על יום ההכנה יישלח במייל למועמדים/ות שייבחרו). - דו"ח השתתפות לאוניברסיטת תל אביב
לאחר החזרה לארץ, על העובד.ת לכתוב דו"ח מסכם המפרט את הכלים המקצועיים שנרכשו במהלך ההשתלמות. בנוסף, ייתכן ותידרשו על ישי המנהל/ת הישירים להציג את מסקנות הביקור מול המחלקה / צוות שלכם/ן.
