Work Visa (B/1)

Who Should Apply?

Faculty and research workers who are employed by Tel Aviv University (TAU) need to obtain a B/1 work visa, as well as a work permit from the Israeli Population Authority. It is not possible to begin your employment without these documents.

Post-doctoral fellows who must be employed as part of their grant (such as the Marie Curie Fellowship) should also obtain this type of visa. If you are a post-doctoral fellow but you don’t fall into the above category, you need to obtain a A/2 student visa.

For information regarding a B/1 Work visa for spouses of students or TAU faculty/research workers, please see here.

Obtaining Your Work Visa
