Scholarships for International Students at Tel Aviv University
International students at Tel Aviv University may be eligible for a range of scholarships and funding options to help support their studies. These include scholarships offered through the Lowy International School and Tel Aviv University, as well as external scholarships provided by governments, foundations and other organizations.
Eligible students may also explore Masa scholarships and grants, while students from the United States can find information on federal student loans, Veterans Affairs benefits and other U.S.-specific funding options.

The Lowy International Short-term Program Scholarships
Scholarships for Short-term Programs are open to current undergraduate and graduate students, graduating high school seniors, and professionals who are applying to a TAU short-term program. Scholarships are merit-based, and students should meet at least one of the below criteria to be eligible. Preference is given to students who meet two or more of the following criteria:
- Cumulative GPA is 3.5/4.0 (85/100) or above (your most recent transcript must be uploaded to the TAU Portal when you apply for the program)
- Visiting Israel for the first time
- Coming from a TAU partner institution
- Accepted to a Short-term Program
The maximum award amount is $500.
Scholarship applications will only be considered for students who have been accepted to a short-term program.
Processing time is approximately 2-3 weeks from the submission of an application and being accepted to the program.

- Summer Research in the Sciences
- Summer Research in the Humanities and Social Sciences
- Summer Internship
- Middle East & Israel Studies
Please note that to be considered for a scholarship, in addition to completing this form you must upload a copy of your most recent transcript to your application on the TAU Student Portal (when uploading, select the "non-valid record of studies" document type if you don't see "Transcript" as an option).

Research Scholarship for Biology / Medicine Students
Outstanding young scientists who have completed their BSc or MSc studies or are in their final year, in the fields of biological/medical sciences, and are considering conducting a Ph.D, are invited to apply for a two-month immersive research experience at the TAU Faculty of Medical & Health Sciences.

Israel Institute Scholarships for American Students
Study in Israel Scholarships provide $1,200 in funding to undergraduate and graduate students in good standing at American universities who are enrolled in at least one course offered by a college or university in Israel.
Courses can be in any subject within the humanities, law, social science, or business administration. These scholarships are ideal for students participating in study abroad or summer study programs.
Students from the Rest of the World (Latin America, Europe, Asia, etc.)
You must be accepted to one of the above summer programs to be eligible to apply.
You cannot be a recipient of any other scholarship to receive this scholarship. This is available exclusively to students who are not receiving scholarships from any other source.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Scholarships for Foreign Students
The Government of Israel is pleased to offer scholarships for summer language courses and academic-year courses to foreign students from the following countries: Argentina, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada (Quebec Province), China, Colombia, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France. Georgia, Germany, Greece, Great Britain, Hungary, India, Italy, Japan, Lithuania, Latvia, Mexico, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Korea, Republic of Serbia, Romania, Russia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Taiwan, Turkey and Ukraine.
Eligible programs:
- A full academic year (8 months from October to June) for the following programs: MA/PhD/Post Doctorate/Overseas and International program/Special program.
- A 3-week Hebrew language program scholarship over the summer.
