TAU offers a variety of merit and needs-based scholarships to U.S. students attending a TAU International Study Abroad, Gap Semester/Year, or Full Degree Program. Students can apply for one or more scholarships provided they meet eligibility requirements for each and submit completed applications by the specified deadline. Students can apply for the scholarship(s) at any time but must have been accepted to their TAU International Program in order to be considered for the scholarship and must be confirmed students before receiving the award.

 

Application deadlines for all TAU Scholarships are as follows:
Summer Programs: April 25
Study Abroad Fall/Year: June 1
Study Abroad Spring: December 1
Full Degree: June 1 
Full Degree Spring Start Only: February 1

 

TAU International Study Abroad and Academic Gap Program Scholarships for U.S. Students


Awarded by TAU International’s North America Office, these merit and needs-based scholarships are open to current U.S. undergraduate students, and also to graduating high school seniors. 


Eligible Programs: Study Abroad Fall, Spring, Full Year and Academic Gap Semester or Year Programs


Eligibility and Application Requirements: U.S. Students should meet at least one of the below criteria to be eligible; preference is given to students who meet 3 or more. All application materials listed below must be submitted to be considered.


 
1) Applicants having a cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 (85/100) or above. Your most recent transcript must be uploaded to the TAU Portal when you apply for the program.
2) Applicants who are visiting Israel for the first time (there is a place to indicate this on the application). 
3) Can demonstrate financial need. Applicants applying for need based aid are required to submit most recent tax return forms and FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR) (if applicable) to finaid@telavivuniv.org in addition to completing the application form below.
4) Complete the Fall/Full Year 2022-2023 Scholarship Application

 

TAU International Summer Scholarships for U.S. Students


Awarded by TAU International in Israel, these merit and needs-based scholarships are open to current U.S. undergraduate students, and also to graduating high school seniors. U.S. professionals and community members seeking to attend a summer program may also be considered though priority is given to currently enrolled students.

 

Eligible Programs: The following 2022 Summer  Programs are eligible: Hebrew Ulpan (both July and August session), Smart Cities, Summer Research in the Sciences, Summer Research in the Humanities, Cyber Security, Middle East & Israel studies, Business & Entrepreneurship, & Summer Internship.

 

Eligibility and Application Requirements: U.S. applicants should meet at least one of the below criteria to be eligible; preference is given to students who meet 3 or more. All application materials listed below must be submitted to be considered.
 
1) Applicants having a cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 (85/100) or above. Your most recent transcript must be uploaded to the TAU Portal when you apply for the program.
2) Applicants who are visiting Israel for the first time (there is a place to indicate this on the application).

The Jim Joseph Scholarship 


This merit and needs-based scholarships is open to current U.S. undergraduate students, and also to graduating high school seniors. 


Eligible Programs: Study Abroad Fall, Spring, Full Year and Academic Gap Semester or Year Programs; Full Degree Programs

The Eric Diamond Scholarship


This merit-based scholarship is intended for American students who do not have previous experience with Israel but are looking to engage with Israel via study abroad and deepen their connections upon return with their local Jewish community.

 
Eligible Programs: Study Abroad and Gap Semester, Year (NOT Summer)

 

Eligibility and Application Requirements:


1) Have a cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 (85/100) or above. Your most recent transcript must be uploaded to the TAU Portal when you apply for the program.
2) Applicants who do not have Israeli citizenship and/or have Israeli parents
3) Applicants must be participating in the Semester/Year Abroad programs at TAU International (Not applicable for short-term programs)
4) Complete the Fall/Full Year 2022-2023 Scholarship Application.

 

The Bechtolsheimer Israel Friends Scholarship


Introducing a new merit-based scholarship opportunity for TAU International non-Jewish students from the United States who have a desire to study and experience Israel!  Students accepted for short term, study abroad and full degree programs at Tel Aviv University International are eligible to apply for this funding opportunity. Recipients of the Bechtolsheimer Israel Friendships Scholarship are encouraged to demonstrate their commitment to Israel and their study experience by documenting their experience via social media, blogs, photo journals, newsletter articles, vlogs or essays. 


Eligible Programs: Study Abroad and Academic Gap Semester and Year Programs; Full Degree Programs


Eligibility and Application Requirements:


1) Applicants having a cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 (85/100) or above. Your most recent transcript must be uploaded to the TAU Portal when you apply for the program.
2) Applicants who are visiting Israel for the first time (there is a place to indicate this on the application).  
3) Complete the Fall/Full Year 2022-203 Scholarship Application.

 

TAU International Tuition Assistance


A need-based scholarship provided by TAU International. 
Eligible Programs: Study Abroad Semester/Year Programs 
Eligibility and Application Requirements:
1) Can demonstrate a high level of financial need. Applicants applying for need based aid are required to submit most recent tax return forms and FAFSA (if applicable) to finaid@telavivuniv.org in addition to completing the two application forms below.
2) Complete the Fall/Full Year 2022-2023 Scholarship Application.
3) Complete the Tuition Assistance Application Form.

Asper Foundation Scholarships for Canadian Students 

 

We are honored that The Asper Foundation, in collaboration with Canadian Friends of Tel Aviv University, has created the Asper International LL.M. Scholarship Fund for Canadian students participating in the International LL.M. program at the Buchmann Faculty of Law at Tel Aviv University. Scholarships are available for Canadian students only. Canadian Friends of Tel Aviv University Scholarship

 

This scholarship is for Canadian Students confirmed to a TAU International full degree or study abroad semester/year program. Awards vary but can be up to $5,000 available for students based on financial need and academic achievement. Rolling deadline.
