What to Do in an Emergency?

In Case of Emergency

  • Contact your Israeli health provider’s call center (“Leumit”, “Clalit” or “Maccabi”) and speak to the on-call doctor or nurse. Inform them of your condition, so that they can advise on next steps.
    • For Leumit call center, dial *507
    • For Clalit call center, dial *2700
    • For Maccabi call center, dial *355
  •  In case of emergency, if you are struggling and need immediate assistance, you are welcome to reach out to our community team via the on-call number, which is available 24/7 for emergencies: (+972) 052-534-6188 (make sure to call, not text).

Emergency Room (ER) Visits

  • In order to visit the ER – you will need a referral. If the healthcare provider’s medical staff (either in-person or via their call-center) decide that there is a medical emergency requiring immediate care, they will issue a referral to the ER.
  • If you have referral from a medical professional, the ER visit will be covered by the insurance company.
  • Otherwise, except for specific medical conditions as mentioned in the policy, an ER visit without a referral will incur a fee (ILS 970), which will not be refunded.

Alternative Emergency Care

  • If you were not referred to the ER, but still need to see a medical professional during times when the clinics are closed, you may also visit the Emergency Center at Yigal Alon St. 90
  • This will be at a cost of ILS 87, which will not be refunded.
