Visa Extensions, Renewals & Payments
Extending Your Existing Visa
In order to extend your visa, you (or the primary visa holder for whom you are a dependent), must be enrolled/employed at TAU.
Visa Extension from Outside of Israel
If you are outside of Israel, the visa extension process must be handled via the Israeli consulate near you.
Please note: it is strictly forbidden to enter Israel without a valid visa. In cases of entry with a tourist visa instead of a student visa, we might not be able to assist in changing the visa type once you are in Israel.
Visa Extension from Within Israel
If you are in Israel, the student visa extension process is handled by our office:
- To start the process of extending a Student Visa or a Companion Visa, please fill out the online form.
- To start the process of extending a B1 Work Visa, please fill out the online form. Note: This form is in Hebrew and needs to be submitted by the employer, not the employee
- Once you have submitted the form, we will reach out with further instructions.
- Visa Extension: List of Required Documents
Processing time is approximately 3 months. Please take this into account when renewing your visa.
