Dormitory Housing 2026/2027: Contracts & Prices
Students enrolled in programs lasting two or three semesters may choose between two housing contract options, as detailed below.
Full Academic Year Housing Contract:
This contract covers the full academic year and is valid from October 1 through September 30.
To secure your apartment, the following payments are required:
- A dormitory deposit of 4,000 NIS
- Two months’ rent paid in advance (according to the apartment type selected)
Please review the following important terms and conditions carefully:
- The contract period is fixed and cannot be adjusted. Even if your academic program begins or ends on different dates, the housing commitment remains valid for the entire contract period.
- Early termination of the contract is not permitted unless a suitable replacement tenant is found and approved by the dormitory management.
- The housing contract is signed directly with the dormitory management company.
- Rent is charged on a monthly basis.
- Monthly charges include: rent (based on apartment type) and utilities, including municipal tax (Arnona), water, and electricity (based on actual usage)
- An Israeli bank account is required for this contract.
- Payments are collected by direct debit through the dormitory management company within the first 10 days of each month.
- Payment by credit card is not available.
- All payments must be made in New Israeli Shekels (NIS).
- After completing the initial payment, you will be required to sign the housing contract directly with the dormitory management company.

Housing Contract Information
The housing contract is issued for the duration of your academic program and varies according to the specific program in which you are enrolled. This applies to all student groups, including BA, BSc, MA, MBA, Summer Program, Study Abroad, and Exchange students.
To secure your apartment, the following steps must be completed:
- Pay a non-refundable down payment equal to the first month’s rent (according to the apartment type selected)
- Sign the housing contract
Please review the following important terms and conditions carefully:
- Early termination of the contract is not permitted unless a suitable replacement tenant is found and approved.
- The housing contract is signed with the Lowy International School and includes:
- Monthly rent (based on apartment type)
- Utility charges (according to the apartment type and included utility package detailed below)
- Utility usage is evaluated monthly. If your consumption exceeds the amount included in your housing package, the difference will be charged to your student account.
- Remaining housing fees may be paid in full prior to arrival. Students eligible for a payment plan can find additional information in the payment canter section of the student portal.
- Payment by credit card is available, and an Israeli bank account is not required.
- Not all housing options are available for all academic programs.
- All payments are made in U.S. Dollars (USD).
- Payments must be completed exclusively through the student portal.

Once both steps are complete, a confirmation email will be sent to the student confirming the dormitory placement.
If the down payment is not paid, or the housing contract is not signed by the deadline, the reserved dormitory spot will be canceled. In such cases, students may register again for the waiting list, subject to availability.

Cancellations & Refunds
TAU cannot reimburse students for early withdrawal from TAU Housing, including the dorms.
