Monday, November 18
12:15–13:45 U.S. Post-Elections Panel: Understanding the Results and Consequences
Hosted by the Center for the Study of the United States at TAU and featuring panelists Dr Brandon Friedman, Dr Yoav Fromer, Dr Naama Maor, and Prof Udi Sommer from Tel Aviv University

16:15–17:45 U.S. Post-Elections Roundtable
The focus of the roundtable, moderated by Dr. Yael Shomer (TAU), will be on the root causes behind the recent U.S. election results and their long-term effects on American politics and its future ties with Israel

18:00–20:30 Film Night: American Symphony—Love, Music, and Resilience in Life’s Extremes.
Musician Jon Batiste was riding high in 2022 with 11 Grammy nominations and an event coming up at Carnegie Hall to present a new composition called American Symphony. But the year grows more complex when his life partner Suleika Jaouad, a writer and musician, learns that her cancer has returned after a decade in remission. Oscar-nominated filmmaker Matthew Heineman (Cartel Land) follows the couple as they experience the best and worst of what life has to offer.

Hungry for knowledge and connection? Join Hillel at TAU for a delicious pizza lunch while exploring the diverse landscape of Jewish communities in North America.

16:00–18:00 Panel Discussion: Doing Business Together
Jackie Goren, Head of the Sofaer Global MBA program at Tel Aviv University's Coller School of Management, will moderate an expert discussion featuring Marina Grayson, Economic Officer at the U.S. Embassy Israel, Esther Barak Landes, Chairwomen Wings IL - Investment club, and one of the Leading VC women in the Israeli Eco-System, and Nimrod Rosenblum, Managing Partner ERM law firm.

Join pianist Shai Portugaly for a choir experience, singing Gospel songs and creating harmonious, personalized expressions—no musical background needed!

18:00–20:00 Debate Immigration Reform with TAU Model United Nations (for TAU students ONLY!)
Step into the shoes of a U.S. Senator! You’ll join a mock Senate Judiciary Committee session, debating Immigration Reform. Armed with a briefing on the issues and assigned a Senator role, you'll negotiate, discuss, and aim to pass legislation by the session's end. Ready to make your mark on the floor?

A conversation with Etgar Keret about his works hosted by Dr. Yoav Fromer (Department of English and American Studies, TAU).

13:00–15:30 Jewish Roots, American Routes: ANU Museum Tour (for TAU students ONLY!)
Join the ANU Museum of the Jewish People for an engaging and interactive museum tour centered around the story of Jews in the United States. This tour will also introduce visitors to the interwoven relationship and identity between American Jews and Israeli Jews. There will also be an opportunity to see the Codex Sassoon—the recently acquired Bible masterpiece—as well as the October Seventh gallery.

16:00–17:30 Lecture: The Secrets Behind Political Marketing from Shay Even
Let's dive into the fascinating world of political campaigns across the globe. Do polls really get it wrong? What actually drives voters to the polls? Why doesn’t the majority always win, and what are the real tricks to winning an election?
We’ll examine campaign examples from the U.S. and around the world, learning from the big wins—and epic fails—of some of history’s most memorable candidates.
