Call for student exchange scholarship for research students at The Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences-Po)
As part of the academic partnership between Tel Aviv University and the Paris Institute of Political Studies, a student exchange program has been established in which students from Tel Aviv University will be given the opportunity to study and carry out research at Sciences-Po with generous funding.
Sciences-Po is one of the most prestigious schools in Europe in the fields of social sciences, communication and journalism, economics, political science, international relations, political and cultural history, and law. It hosts some of the world’s top experts. Sciences-Po has one of the richest libraries in Europe; houses important archives; holds major events such as open forums with prominent public figures; as well as a large number of seminars and research workshops. Students from Tel Aviv University visiting in Paris with this exchange program will also enjoy the university’s proximity to the main libraries in Paris and other important archives in France.
Eligibility
MA students in the thesis track
Ph.D. students
From the following faculties:
- Humanities
- Social Sciences
- Law
- Management
The Student must be registered as a research student at Tel Aviv University when applying for the exchange program.
Scholarship information
- Accepted students can travel either in the first semester, second semester, or the entire academic year. Students traveling for one semester will receive a scholarship of 5,000 euros. Students traveling for a whole year will receive a scholarship of 10,000 euros.
- Accepted students will be required to hand in a research progress report and a final research report, to their supervisors at TAU and to the International School throughout and at the end of their exchange period.
- All students who are admitted to the program will be exempt from paying tuition in Paris but will continue to pay the tuition at Tel Aviv University for the duration of their stay.

The following must be included in English
- Certification of Studies (through MyTAU)
- Transcript
- Professional CV
- Recommendation letter from the student's research supervisor at TAU.
- Recommendation letter from an academic staff member (other than the supervisor).
* The student will be responsible to inform their referees to upload their recommendations separately through this form, by the time limit for application. * - Research proposal (1-2 pages), signed by TAU supervisor on the letterhead attached.
- Letter of motivation (via the online form) which will include:
-The estimated contribution of the stay in Paris
-A Staff member at Sciences Po, willing to supervise the student's research while their stay in Paris. In case the applicant can't provide this, the search committee will recommend of a supervisor for the student. The student will be required to send an invitation letter from the Sciences Po supervisor before final acceptance to the exchange period. Students may consult with one of the Academic Staff members listed in the attached list for supervision of their research period at Science Po.
- Confirmation of knowledge of the English language at level C1. Details on the certificate can be found here. Most language certificates require additional fees. The certificate is needed only after admission. Students will be able to take French courses during their stay in Paris and upon providing the required certificate by Sciences Po.

you may attend Sciences Po for research only however it is recommended to take part in courses. In both cases you must supply an approval of the faculty of your expected stay abroad. *Accepted students are obligated to inform the faculty once they are approved for the exchange
