Love engineering and the planet? Join our two-year MSc program in Environmental Engineering, where innovation and sustainability meet hands-on research in the dynamic heart of the start-up nation.

Program Overview

The Environmental Engineering program is fueled by a profound commitment to the well-being of our planet. It seeks to empower engineers with a dedicated passion for tackling pressing environmental challenges, including water contamination, renewable energy, soil remediation, solid waste, and air pollution.

The program fosters the development of technical solutions that harmonize with a sustainable balance of legislative, economic, societal, and political considerations.

As part of their thesis work, students engage in R&D across various Environmental Engineering subjects, collaborating within one of TAU's many research labs.

Program graduates secure positions in the rapidly growing environmental engineering sector, contributing significantly to research, the development of innovative technologies, and their practical application in the industry.

The program welcomes engineers with diverse backgrounds who are enthusiastic about developing an environmental mindset. Additionally, individuals pursuing careers outside environmental engineering, such as in electrical, materials, or chemical engineering, will find the program beneficial as it expands the academic knowledge while providing the much-needed sustainable perspective.

Program Highlights

  • Emphasizes practical learning from experienced industry professionals through numerous industry collaborations
  • Strong focus on sustainability and innovative solutions to environmental challenges, particularly in areas where Israel is a strong leader, such as seawater desalination, wastewater reuse, and renewable energy.
  • Promotes interdisciplinary skills with an environmental focus
  • Prepares graduates for diverse career paths extending beyond environmental engineering
