Call for Ma and PhD students to take part in an internship in NIAR, Taiwan

The Taiwan National Institutes of Applied Research (NIAR) is offering an exciting, funded internship opportunity for MA and PhD students for technology. The program allows students interested in hands-on research and practical experience to intern in one of NIAR's research centers and receive a weekly scholarship during their stay.

Relevance:

The program is relevant for students specializing in one of these 4 fields

• Environment Technology
• Information & Communication Technology
• Biomedical Technology
• Science & Technology Policy.

Scholarship:

Throughout the program students will receive a weekly scholarship at the rate of approximately 205$ for MA students and 253$ for PhD students. The intern must independently pay for airfare and insurance. During the internship period the intern will not be allowed to receive scholarships from governmental agencies, national colleges, and universities in Taiwan.

Duration:

The period of the internship is 10 to 16 weeks. Exacts dates will be discussed with the research center after acceptance.

Application Requirements:

• The student must be enrolled in master’s or PhD Program
• The student must study a field related to one of NIAR’s research centers.
• The student must arrange their own arrival, insurance, and housing during their stay
• At the end of the internship, the student is required to submit a report to the hosting NIAR’ center.

•  A consent letter from current school
• Latest official academic transcript 
• Certificate of Enrolment
•  A copy of the photo page of passport
• A headshot photo
• Optional: English or Chinese proficiency test scores, ARC
