Come Celebrate Novy God With Us at the Green House!

Hillel Tel Aviv invites you to our annual New Year’s event. Join this joyful and unique cultural experience to discover the unique traditions of Novy god (New Year), listen to music and sing songs, and enjoy delicious food.

Novy god, which translates to New Year in Russian, refers to the celebration of the New Year and is celebrated in Russia and many Slavic countries. In Israel, over a million Russian-speaking Jews from diverse cultural backgrounds celebrate Novy god, despite it not being part of a Jewish tradition. Novy god is a wonderful cultural tradition that marks a time of joy, hope, and new beginnings.

Even if you don't have Soviet roots, you are invited to experience an authentic Novy god with a colorful table, a New Year tree, music, and gifts from Ded Moroz, the Soviet frozen grandpa!

Bring your traditional festive dish—the rest is on us!

What does that mean?
To make the holiday truly special, you are asked to prepare a "Novy God" dish (if you're not a fan of cooking, champagne will also be warmly received!)

Date: December 30, 2024
Time: 6:30 PM–9 PM
Location: The Green House, 24 Dr. George Wise St., Tel Aviv University

Don’t miss out on the fun—register now—we can't wait to see you all!
