Curious how wearable robotics can transform human hand function? 

 

Tel Aviv University's Institute of Advanced Studies is pleased to welcome Professor Benedetto Allotta, Professor of Robotics and Mechanism Design at the Department of Industrial Engineering, Università degli Studi di Firenze, Italy. He joins us as part of the Lowy Distinguished Guest Professors series 2025–2026.

 

In his lecture in the Biological and Soft Matter Physics Seminar series at the TAU School of Physics and Astronomy, Professor Allotta will share insights from the MDM Lab’s pioneering research on wearable robotics. You’ll discover how new technologies are being designed to restore and enhance hand function, blending engineering innovation with rehabilitation science to shape new frontiers in human–machine interaction.
