Law Program Overview
Tel Aviv University International, in collaboration with The Buchmann Faculty of Law at TAU, offers a program designated for international law students who wish to study courses in law at Tel Aviv University. Qualified students who cannot benefit from an existing exchange agreement with partner universities may instead participate in this semester or year-long program and may take both courses from the Buchmann Faculty of Law as well as courses from the TAU International Study Abroad curriculum. Details on courses can be found here. In addition to a wide variety of coursework, the program offers many other features as well which you can read about below!
Immersive Cultural Activities and Excursions
Our Student Life Team (“Madrichim”) organize a wide variety of events and activities for our study abroad students throughout the semester, including several overnight excursions within Israel. Examples of past activities include Tel Aviv neighborhood tours, student welcome and farewell receptions, karaoke night, international pub trivia, Israeli film nights, “Krav Maga” workshops, and much more. Study abroad alumni have raved about the activities and excursions our Student Life Team organizes and we are proud to have these as an integral part of our study abroad program.
Lively Campus Life
TAU’s campus is centrally located in the Ramat Aviv neighborhood, a short distance from the city center and the beach. While on campus, you will get to enjoy our beautiful 220 acre green and lively space filled with 30,000 students - many international students but many locals as well. On campus you will find many libraries, cafes, cafeterias, a student pub, great outdoor sporting facilities and also indoor sporting facilities. As a student you will have access to a discounted gym rate which offers three pools (one Olympic sized) a great indoor gym and an always visited gymnasium. There are tennis courts on campus, as well as volleyball courts spread out throughout the open areas.
Most of our students choose to live in our conveniently located fully furnished, modern student housing located within walking distance from the University campus. Housing includes 24-hour security and supportive resident counselors called Madrichim. As part of the TAU International community you don’t have to worry about a support system, since we work really hard to give all of our international students personal attention.
TAU International is ready and eager to welcome you to campus for your study abroad experience. We have a full staff dedicated to assisting the international students on campus such as yourself with any matter that you may need help with: academic advising and registration, housing, social and cultural activities, student affairs matters, advice for how to make the most of Tel Aviv, and so much more! We offer a comprehensive orientation day during your arrival week as well as ongoing support throughout your semester. In addition, our Student Life Team is available 24/7 for emergency support. We can’t wait to meet you and welcome you to the TAU International family!
