TAU Ranked 1st in Israel in the THE World University Rankings 2025
Globally, TAU is 228th out of 2,092 academic institutions ranked.

Tel Aviv University is ranked 228th globally and first in Israel in the 2025 Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings. The ranking includes 2,092 institutions from 115 countries, placing TAU in the top percentile of universities worldwide, out of more than 26,000 higher education institutions globally.
THE is considered one of the leading international rankings, evaluating institutions based on five main components:
- research (30%),
- teaching (30%),
- citation impact (30%),
- international outlook (7.5%),
- industry income per faculty member (2.5%).
TAU ranks first in Israel and 146th globally in the Research Environment component and leads Israeli universities in Research Quality. It has also improved its international outlook this year.
