Dr. Lyu ‘Edwards’ You is TAU’s In-Country Representative (ICR) in China. He focuses on:
- Raising awareness of TAU in China,
- Growing enrollment, especially for research degrees (MSc, PhD, and postdocs),
- Supporting TAU’s alumni network. building faculty connections with leading Chinese research institutions
- Identifying research funding and academic opportunities for TAU students and faculty in China.
Dr. Lyu ‘Edwards’ You holds a PhD in Jewish Studies from Shanghai University (2025) and an MBA from Tel Aviv University (2015). He is based in Nanjing and Shanghai.

- PhD/Postdoc applications pre-screening: did you receive an application or an inquiry from China? Forward it to the ICR ‘as is’ and receive a credible candidate evaluation report (based on documents screening and an oral conversation) that will help you make the right decision.
NB! Even if you are not actively recruiting, please kindly forward all PhD/Postdoc applications and inquiries you receive from China to our ICRs – it will help us analyze the market!

Please note: ICR won’t be available to arrange a full program for an individual faculty member willing to visit China or accompany them during the trip, but ICR could provide valuable advice, insights, and access to resources of our local partner for on-the-ground assistance with logistics.
