Program Overview
Our Middle East and Israel Studies program is for those of you keen not just keen to understand the complexities of the Middle East, but to experience the culture that comes with being in Israel and Tel Aviv.
Stimulate your curious mind with an insightful summer at one of Israel’s very best universities, examining and learning all about the Middle East & Israel.
Get an understanding of the issues that really make this region so dynamic, through either one or two of the courses offered on this program:

Is religion a decisive factor in the Arab-Israeli conflict?

What is the significance of religious movements and democracy?

What is political identity and how does it define Israel and its neighbors?

How do modern Jews around the world identify and define themselves, and does this affect national and political identity in Israel?

How did Israel transform from an ancient Holy Land into the start up nation?

How do Arts and media, politics, history and economics affect the day to day of Tel Aviv and Israeli culture?
Expect some challenging and compelling coursework, as well as course excursions, to guide you into understanding the key past and current affairs and culture of the region.
