Join the Jewish Learning Initiative on Campus to commemorate Yom HaShoa (Holocaust Remembrance Day) and hear the remarkable story of Manfred Goldberg (BEM).
Manfred Goldberg (BEM) was born in Kessel, Germany in 1930. Following Kirstallnacht, Goldberg, his mother, and brother managed to survive in Kassel until 1941, after which followed an incredible and harrowing odyssey lasting several years, one which his brother would not survive.
Eventually, Goldberg and his mother were liberated and arrived in the UK in 1946.
In recent years, Goldberg has developed a relationship with the British Royal family, specifically, Princess Kate.
