The Summer Institute of Advanced Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine offers a variety of intensive courses. The courses are one-week (26 academic hours) and include a 2-hour final exam. Each course is worth 2 academic credits (unless indicated otherwise) or can be taken as a non-credit course.

 

The courses are taught in English by world-renowned faculty from Johns Hopkins University (JHU), Tel Aviv University (TAU), HArvard University (HU), University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB), Northwestern University (NU), University of British Columbia (UBC), Ministry of Health (MOH), World Health Organization (WHO) United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and other academic and research institutions.

In addition to coursework, cultural evening activities and overnight excursions around the country are offered throughout the summer by our Student Life Team; these activities and excursions are included in the price of tuition. Past excursions have included such places as to the North of Israel, the Dead Sea and Jerusalem. Past evening activities have included walking tours of Jaffa, graffiti tours in Tel Aviv, and night tours of Caesaria. Precise dates, times and other details for these activities and excursions will be announced closer to the program start date.
