This one-year M.A. program enables you to master new solutions to age-old conflicts via the acquisition of some extraordinary mediation and resolution skills. And we’re not sure you could find a better location to learn those skills than in the ever-challenging Middle East…

Program Overview

Our Conflict Resolution and Mediation program will provide you with new, groundbreaking solutions to age-old conflicts.

Studying at TAU means you’ll be learning in one of the most conflict-ridden regions in the world, so expect to acquire all the tools you’ll ever need for effective analysis, mediation and negotiation strategies, and conflict resolution frameworks in the international arena. You'll also earn a certificate from TAU for the program's workshop in International Mediation.

The program itself is unique in its interdisciplinary nature and its emphasis on mixing the theoretical, the practical and the experiential. You’ll be taught by leading experts in the field who have first-hand knowledge and experience in deep-rooted conflicts.

And with a local, regional history of conflict to lean on, expect some topics to relate specifically to the history and conflict resolution dynamics of the Middle East.

Program Highlights

  • Become a true mediation expert via our International Mediation Course (1.5 weeks).

  • Take onboard the theoretical knowledge while simultaneously training in practical skills such as mediation, negotiation, and facilitation.

  • Enjoy cultural evening activities and excursions around the country, in addition to the coursework.

  • An optional 1-year thesis track is available.
