The Music School’s mission is to train outstanding young musicians and music researches and prepare them for a professional career, as solo and chamber music performers, composers, conductors and music scholars.

 

Program Overview

 

The Buchmann-Mehta School of Music was founded in 2005 as a unique partnership between Tel-Aviv University (TAU) and the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra (IPO). The founding of the Music School was made possible thanks to philanthropist Josef Buchmann, the School’s Patron. Maestro Zubin Mehta, the revered former IPO Music Director, is the BMSM’s Honorary President. The Music School’s mission is to train outstanding young musicians and music researches and prepare them for a professional career, as solo and chamber music performers, composers, conductors and music scholars. The BMSM Orchestral Training Program’s mission is to create the future generations of orchestral musicians for the IPO and other orchestras in Israel and worldwide.

The Buchmann-Mehta School of Music (BMSM) International Program for Outstanding Students offers:
