Choose from a semester or year abroad while you study and earn credit at Israel’s leading university. At TAU International, you will be learning from top-notch faculty and experts from a wide range of academic and interdisciplinary programs.
Tel Aviv University is a quick ride away from the center of Tel Aviv, where it shares the city's non-stop spirit of discovery. Tel Aviv boasts a diverse and creative community alongside its beaches, unique culture and vibrant nightlife - it’s no surprise this young city has been labeled the “Capital of Mediterranean Cool”.
With 30,000 Israeli and 3,000 international students on campus, you’ll have the chance to grow a network of friends from all over the world. In addition to rigorous academic coursework, you will have the chance to travel throughout Israel and explore the rich history and heritage of the Start-up Nation. Previous excursion highlights included the Northern Galilee Mountains, the Negev Desert, the Dead Sea and of course the Mediterranean.
Unique and Challenging Academic Coursework: Choose from a broad selection of rigorous coursework including Business, Communications, Creative Writing, Israel Studies, Middle Eastern Studies, Political Science, Languages, Economics, Psychology, and much more. Your academic experience will begin with a mandatory intensive Hebrew Ulpan (students at Hebrew Level 8 or above are exempt). Following Ulpan, you will enroll in a minimum of 4 semester courses. For more details and course syllabi, check out our course offerings.
Gain Global Professional Experience: Invest in your future by gaining the professional experience you need to compete in today’s international environment and learn how to interact effectively in a cross-cultural workplace environment. For an extra fee, our Study Abroad Internship Program will allow you to participate in a customized internship opportunity according to your skills and interests, enabling you to gain valuable work experience while exploring potential career paths and building an impressive network of contacts.
Immersive Cultural Activities and Excursions: At TAU International, learning happens everywhere. Throughout your program, you will have the opportunity to participate in several overnight excursions organized by our Student Life Team (“Madrichim”) and enjoy weekly activities such as neighborhood tours, student welcome and farewell receptions, karaoke night, international pub trivia, Israeli film nights, “Krav Maga” workshops, and much more.
Diverse Campus Life: Study amongst 30,000 students comprised of both international students like you, as well as locals. On campus you will have access to many different libraries, cafes, cafeterias, great outdoor and indoor sporting facilities, and, for additional fees, a campus gym with three pools - one of which is Olympic sized! Regarding housing, we offer conveniently located fully furnished, accommodations within walking distance from the university. Housing includes 24-hour security as well as Madrichim, our supportive Student Life Team who are available 24/7 for emergency support so you can always rely on them.
Supportive Staff: Our TAU International staff is dedicated to assisting you both pre-departure and on campus with anything you need, ranging from academic advising, housing and insurance, student affairs and administrative matters, advice on the best places to visit in Tel Aviv, and lots more.
