Eligibility

This program is generally for undergraduates with a focus on business, finance, and economics (or a related field) who have completed at least one year of undergraduate study. Students interested in joining this program that are focusing their studies in other fields are also welcome to apply. Students who wish to be placed in an internship must have completed at least 2 full years of undergraduate studies. 

This program is currently only being offered during the Spring Semester.

Study abroad programs at TAU International are open to accomplished undergraduate students enrolled at accredited higher education institutions outside of Israel. Generally, a minimum GPA of 80 on a scale of 100, or 3.0 on a scale of 4.0, or equivalent applies, but exceptions may be made in the case of a strong application with a lower GPA. Students who have completed upper secondary school/high school who would like to spend their first year/ semester of college at TAU International are welcome to apply to our Year/Semester Abroad or to look into our Gap Year Program.

 

What is the application process? 

1. Go to the PORTAL, and create a profile

2. Once you have created a profile, you must apply to a program. Please select the application on the TAU Student Portal that is called "Spring Semester-Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Business in Israel". 

3. You can now start your application by completing the application form. 

4. Once you have completed the application form, please find below a list of REQUIRED ADMISSIONS DOCUMENTS: 

• Transcripts: Official transcript from all high school institutions you attended. Professionally certified English translations (by a notary) of each transcript (where applicable) must be included if needed. Please also include a copy of any diploma received..
• English Proficiency: All applicants applying to TAU International English-speaking programs who are from non-English speaking countries or are non-native speakers of English must provide proof of English proficiency as part of the application requirements. • Hebrew Proficiency (if needed): Proof of Hebrew language proficiency, if requesting exemption from Ulpan due to fluency in Hebrew
• Recommendation letters: Two recommendation letters are required for application to our programs
• Passport: A copy of your passport. This is extremely important, as once you are confirmed, this document will be needed to create you into our system, provide you with access to all TAU services
• CV: Required for this program. Please attach it to your application documentation on the portal
• Home Institution Approval Form *US Students Only*: If you are currently studying at a US institution, please have the Home Institution Approval Form filled out by your Study Abroad Advisor and upload it to your student portal account.

Medical forms, code of conduct, letter of agreement and any other forms, will be asked after the acceptance process.

 

Ulpan Requirement

All students are required to enroll in an intensive Hebrew course called the Pre-term Hebrew Ulpan prior to the start of their semester or year. When applying for the program, you will automatically be admitted to the corresponding Ulpan program (either summer or winter) unless you provide proof of very advanced Hebrew language proficiency via an official exemption exam. If you feel you may need an exemption exam, please contact OUR TEAM. Note that exemption exams will be sent only to accepted and confirmed students. 

 

 

What happens once I'm accepted?

Congratulations! if you have received an official acceptance letter, then we are excited for you to complete the next steps! Upon acceptance, if you have not already done so, all students are required to upload a scanned copy of their passport picture page clearly showing their passport number and other biographic details to their Student Portal Record.

You will also be required to upload a passport photo (small photo, jpeg) clearly showing the face which will be used for the TAU Student ID (no sunglasses or hats should appear in the photo)

In addition, the below forms are provided upon acceptance to the program and must be submitted prior to arrival on the program ( or in some cases, at the time of confirmation as noted below). Failure to submit these items can result in issues with your confirmation. While you will be confirmed to the program, the process of confirmation into the TAU system will not be completed without these forms.

• TAU International Signed Letter of Agreement (this is linked to the Confirmation Form and must be submitted at the time of confirmation to the program; students will not be considered confirmed until this is submitted)
• Health Insurance Declaration Form – Required for Full Year Students Only
