Call to participate in an international seminar in Venice: Law and AI.
As part of the partnership between Tel Aviv University and VIU (Venice International University), MA and PhD students are invited to apply for participation in the seminar “International Law in the Age of AI and Cyber”, which will take place in Venice, Italy in October 2026.
The seminar will explore the practice of States, particularly their position papers on the application of international law to the cyber domain, as well as the actions of international organizations such as the United Nations on this subject. In addition, the seminar will examine the European Union’s digital strategy and its regulatory approach to artificial intelligence.
Who can apply?
Participation in the seminar is offered to MA and PhD students with background in on of the following fields:
- International Law
- EU Law
- Public and Comparative Law
- Criminal Law
- Human Rights Law
- Cybersecurity Sciences
- Political Sciences
- International Relations
Dates:
The seminar will take place in Isola di San Servolo, Venice, Italy, in October 26-30, 2026.
Funding:
Students from TAU can participate in the seminar free of charge. Moreover, accommodation will be provided for students accepted for the seminar. In addition, chosen applicants may apply for a grant, which will be able to support the costs of international travel partially or fully.
