Program Overview

Our Independent Research and Study Track (IRST) program is ideal for those of you looking to broaden your research and independent study skills, or those of you joining TAU as part of an exchange agreement.

With over 130 research institutes, 400 labs, and 3,500 annual projects spread across our 9 faculties and 125 different schools, it’s easy to see why TAU – internationally renowned for its research and innovation – is an institute of academic excellence. There are also empowering independent opportunities on the TAU campus via which you can pursue your scholarly interests.

This program is a great enrollment option for researchers and those generally looking for the dynamism of a comprehensive campus program. Although no academic credit is awarded for the IRST program (unless a student enrolls in a TAU International course in addition to their research), students can take advantage of the many student service benefits that the program provides.
