How to start your doctorate at Tel Aviv University?

 

 Before you apply

 

The duration of the PhD program is typically five years from the date of registration until the thesis submission date.

 

To apply, you should be a master's degree graduate with a cumulative grade point average of at least 80 and a master's thesis grade of at least 85. Some departmental committees may have additional requirements.

 

If you completed your undergraduate studies with distinction, you can apply for a direct course of studies towards your PhD degree.

 

Applicants must submit all required documents to the Departmental Committee, including curriculum vitae, a record of studies, and any other relevant material that is requested. Further information may be obtained from the relevant PhD secretaries.

 Application Process

 

The decision to admit an applicant to the PhD program is conducted by the Departmental Committee and approved by the University Committee for Research Students.

 

The studies in each field are managed by the Departmental Committee for research students. The Committee issues detailed guidelines relevant to the field and coordinates all activities including admission, housing, fellowships, courses, research proposals, laboratory work, and assessment. The Departmental Committees are supervised by the University Committee for Research Students which is headed by the Vice Rector.

 

Applications for admission to the PhD program are accepted throughout the year.
