TAU International Office has been in existence for almost 50 years. Since the beginning, our student’s well-being has been our top priority. We know that being in a new place, with new surroundings, new people, and far away from the routine, is not easy, this is why we care about providing the tools necessary for our students to be comfortable. We have a very dedicated team that focuses on the well being of our students including an American psychologist that is available just for the convenience of our international students. The services are strictly confidential by law.
To make an appointment, students just need to contact Ms. Lena Arbiv, secretary of the University's psychological services by phone (03-640-8505) or by e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org). Please have the attached form filled prior to your appointment.
Their offices are located in the Mitchell Building in room 216.
Office hours are Sundays-Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
In the event of a conflict, it being: discrimination, harassment, or other situations, please contact the TAU International office located in the Carter Building on campus. Our Madrichim work closely with all of our students, they are all Israeli University of Tel Aviv students pursuing all kinds of majors. They live on campus near our students and they are on call 24 hours a day. What do they do exactly? They have a fun and big job in their hands… They are in charge of preparing an extensive array of social and cultural activities for our students such as trips around the country, holiday parties, movie nights, and outings around Tel Aviv, they also coordinate the volunteer program in corporation with many Israeli Non-Profits. Our Madrichim are always there for our students with any needs or questions they may have. They are the personal and social support for the students, while also accompanying them every step of the way in their new surroundings.
The Buddy System
The Buddy System is a project created in collaboration with the Tel Aviv University Student Union specifically for International students. It is a group for students, run by students. The Buddy System's goal is to create a united and multicultural campus at Tel Aviv University.
The program offers all international students the opportunity to enhance their connection to the city, country, and community by connecting them with Israeli students at events held throughout the academic year.
The Buddy System provides the opportunity to meet and build real friendships with Israeli students. The experience will be enhanced by Buddy System activities such as trips, lectures, volunteering, parties, and more.
The project is led by four student volunteers and a team of passionate students who want to meet YOU and make your TAU experience unforgettable.
Additional information will be provided during orientation week.
