In today’s global, knowledge-driven economy, international academic and scientific ties have become major engines for success. TAU recognizes the many benefits of international collaboration and thus places great importance on creating and nurturing opportunities for international cooperation.
Today, TAU is Israel’s academic leader, and TAU International is one of the primary pillars that ensures the university’s dominant position in both the local and international landscape, providing significant achievements in the global arena and also providing the support framework for the promotion of academic excellence at the international level.
This year, in order to even further develop TAU’s important place in both Israel and the international community, we have launched the TAU International Advisory Board. The goal of this board is to enhance TAU International as a world class international study destination that combines academic rigor with unique and culturally immersive experiences in Tel Aviv and Israel. In order to do this, we have invited a renowned, experienced, and innovative group of people to join our board and help guide us as we push into the future full of optimism and eager achieve our goal.


Mr. Stanley M. Bergman - Chairman of the Board and CEO at Henry Schein

Since 1989, Stanley M. Bergman has been Chairman of the Board and CEO of Henry Schein, Inc., a Fortune 500® company and the world's largest provider of health care products and services to office-based dental, animal health, and medical practitioners, with more than 22,000 Team Schein Members and operations or affiliates in 34 countries. Henry Schein is a member of the S&P 500® and Nasdaq 100® indexes. In 2017, the Company's sales reached a record $12.5 billion. Henry Schein has been a Fortune World's Most Admired Company for 17 consecutive years.

Mr. Bergman serves as a board member or advisor for numerous institutions including New York University College of Dentistry; the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine; the Columbia University Medical Center; University of the People; Hebrew University; Tel Aviv University; the University of the Witwatersrand Fund; The World Economic Forum’s Health Care Governors; the Business Council for International Understanding, the Japan Society and the Metropolitan Opera. Mr. Bergman is an honorary member of the American Dental Association and the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity. Stan is the recipient of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor; the CR Magazine Corporate Responsibility Lifetime Achievement Award; the 2017 CEO of the year award by Chief Executive Magazine; Honorary Doctorates from The University of the Witwatersrand, Hofstra University, A.T. Stan and Marion Bergman and their family are active supporters of organizations fostering the arts, higher education, cultural diversity and grassroots health care and sustainable entrepreneurial economic development initiatives in the United States, Africa and other developing regions of the world. Mr. Bergman is immediate past President of the American Jewish Committee, Co-Founder of the India-Israel Forum and Co-Chair of the AJC Muslim-Jewish Advisory Council.

Mr. Bergman is a graduate of The University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa, and is a South African Chartered Accountant and a NYS Certified Public Accountant (CPA).



Ms. Anjali Bansal - Managing Partner, Avaana Capital

Anjali Bansal is a former global Partner and MD with TPG Private Equity and a strategy consultant with McKinsey & Company in New York and Mumbai. She founded and ran Spencer Stuart's India practice successfully growing it to a highly reputed pan-India platform. She was also a global partner and co-led their Asia Pacific Board & CEO practice as part of the Asia Pacific leadership team. She started her career as an engineer.

She serves as an independent non-executive director on the public boards of GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) Pharmaceuticals India, Bata India Limited, Tata Power and Voltas--a Tata Enterprise. She is on the Advisory Board of the Columbia University Global Centers, South Asia. Previously, she chaired the India board of Women's World Banking, a leading global livelihood-promoting institution.

She is an enthusiastic participant in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, is charter member of TiE, serves on the managing committee of the Indian Venture Capital Association, angel investor and mentor to entrepreneurs and companies including the SAHA Fund, Female Founders Fund and others.

An active contributor to the dialogue corporate governance and diversity, Anjali co-founded and chaired the FICCI Center for Corporate Governance program for Women on Corporate Boards. She serves on the managing committee of the Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry and is part of the CII Directors Guild. She is a member of the Young Presidents' Organization.

She has been listed as one of the “Most Powerful Women in Indian Business” by India’s leading publication, Business Today, and as one of the “Most Powerful Women in Business” by Fortune India.

Anjali has a bachelor in Computer Engineering from Gujarat University and a Masters in International Affairs, Finance and Business from Columbia University in New York.



Mr. Eyal Agmoni - Founder and Chairman of the Chartered Group

Mr. Olivier Schiller - Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Septodont

Olivier Schiller is the Chief Executive Officer of Septodont, a family-owned business founded in 1932 by Nestor and Annie Schiller, his grandparents. Septodont is the world leader in dental anesthesia. The company develops, manufactures and distributes a large range of products for dental professionals.

Olivier Schiller joined the company in 1995 as Chief Financial Officer, where his focus on operational efficiency and customers led to significant company growth and international expansion. In 2001, he was made General Manager until his appointment in 2012 as Chief Executive Officer of the Septodont Group.

Prior to joining Septodont, Olivier Schiller worked as a Consultant at Arthur Andersen and provided consulting services to large corporations. Prior to that, he served in the French Navy as a Lieutenant aboard a nuclear submarine.

Olivier Schiller holds an engineering degree from Ecole Centrale de Lille, as well as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) earned at HEC Paris.

Olivier Schiller is a member of the Val-de-Marne Chamber of Commerce, an advisor to the Bank of France, and a member of the Dean’s Strategic Advisory Council of the NYU College of Dentistry. He is also a member of the board of different organizations such as the French Israeli Chamber of Commerce, and the French Movement for Midsized Companies (METI).



Mr. Salil Singhal - Chairman Emeritus

Mr. Salil Singhal has been spearheading the Company on its growth path since 1979. He is credited with Company’s early adoption of a global outlook and ingraining a strong value system within the Company. Besides PI Industries, he also serves on the Boards of Wolkem India Ltd., Historic Resorts Hotels Pvt. Ltd., The Lake Palace Hotels and Motels Pvt. Ltd., Secure Meters Ltd., Somany Ceramics Ltd., PILL Finance and Investment Ltd., Usha Martin Ltd. and Mahindra World City (Jaipur) Ltd.

Highly reputed and a renowned name in the Agro Chemical Industry, he is Co-Chairman of CII’s National Council on Agriculture besides being a member of its National Council for the past 8 years. Mr. Singhal was the Chairman of the Pesticides Association of India (rechristened Crop Care Federation of India) for 20 years and is its Chairman Emeritus. In the past, he has been a member of the Executive Committee of FICCI and also the Chairman of its Environment Committee for 5 years, the Chairman of the Northern Region of CII and the Chairman of the National Council for MSMEs. He has been involved in shaping many agriculture-related policy issues and has addressed many Seminars and Conferences both in India and abroad



Dr. Roger King HKUST - Founding Director, Thompson Centre for Business Case Studies and the Tanoto Centre for Asian Family Business and Entrepreneurship Studies

Roger King is an Adjunct Professor of Finance, Founding Directors of Tanoto Center for Asian Family Business and Entrepreneurship Studies, and Thompson Center for Business Case Studies at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. His teaching and research interests are entrepreneurship, family business and corporate and family governance.

Dr. King was a former US Naval Officer; Member of Technical Staff of Bell Telephone Laboratories (USA); the Chief Operating Officer of Orient Overseas (Holdings) Limited, listed on SEHK; Chairman and founder of ODS System-Pro Computers Limited; Chairman of Euro-Asia Shipyard Limited; Chairman of Pacific Coffee Limited; President and Chief Executive Officer of Sa Sa International Holdings Limited, listed on the SEHK; Board Director of Arrow Electronics Corporation, listed on the NYSE; Independent Non-executive Director, Sincere Watch (Hong Kong) Limited, listed on the SEHK; Supervisory Board member of TNT Express, listed on Amsterdam Exchange; President of Harvard Business School Association of Hong Kong; Chairman of the Association of Honorary Consuls in Hong Kong and Macau; Honorary Consul for the Republic of Latvia in HKSAR; Standing Committee Member of the Zhejiang Province People’s Political Consultative Conference; and Council Members of the Baptist University of Hong Kong and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Dr. King is a graduate of the University of Michigan, BSEE; New York University, MSEE; Harvard Business School, AMP; and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, PhD (Finance); 2011 recipient of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Honorary Fellowship; member of Eta Kappa Nu and Beta Gamma Sigma, honorary society for electric engineers and business scholars, respectively.



Mr. Jonathan Penkin - Partner Managing Director at Goldman Sachs

Mr. Jonathan Penkin is the Head of Growth Markets in the Equity Capital Markets Group at Goldman Sachs International.

Prior to that Mr. Penkin spent ten years in Hong Kong where he served as the Co-Head of the Financing and Equity Capital Markets Group in Asia ex Japan.

Jonathan earned a BA in Political Science from the University of Cape Town in 1986, an MA (Cum Laude) in Political Science at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1990 and an MA in Law from University College, Oxford, in 1992.

He is a Trustee of the One to One Kids Charity in London.



Prof. Raanan Rein - Vice President of Tel Aviv University

Prof. Raanan Rein is the Elias Sourasky Professor of Latin American and Spanish History and Vice President of Tel Aviv University. He is also the Head of the S. Daniel Abraham Center for International and Regional Studies.

Rein is the author and editor of more than thirty books and well over a hundred articles in Academic journals and book chapters, in several languages. He is a member of Argentina's National Academy of History, and former President of the Latin American Jewish Studies Association (LAJSA). The Argentine government awarded him the title of Commander in the Order of the Liberator San Martin for his contribution to Argentine culture. The Spanish King awarded him the title of Commander in the Order of the Civil Merit. In 2016 he won the Reimar Lüst Award (co-sponsored by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and the Fritz Thyssen Foundation). In March 2017, the City of Buenos Aires declared him as a Guest of Honor.

Research interests: Modern Latin America, populist movements, Argentine society and politics, Jews in the Spanish speaking world, ethnic minorities in Latin America, immigration and collective identities, 20th century Spain.



Mr. Eytan Meir Stibbe Chairman, Vital Capital

Mr. Eytan Stibbe is the Founding Partner of the Vital Capital Fund, a private equity fund focused on enhancing the quality of life of families in Sub-Saharan developing nations while simultaneously delivering attractive returns to investors.

Among his many professional accomplishments, Mr. Stibbe has worked extensively in initiating business and financing ventures worldwide, primarily in developing countries.

His vision and leadership have provided for the initiation, implementation and successful completion of high-profile projects throughout these regions, with the consistent characteristic being the alignment of tangible humanitarian objectives alongside financial and business interests. Consequently, over the past 27 years, Stibbe’s successes in this regard have resulted in real and marked improvements in the quality of life for large populations. These professional endeavors have been diversified across many business sectors, such as building rural and urban communities, agriculture and agro-industrial projects, aviation and air-traffic control, large-scale educational ventures, healthcare and water related projects.

Eytan joined the Air Force flight academy in 1976, and from 1984 till 2011 served as a reserve F-16 fighter pilot and formation leader, participating in all wars and conflicts, taking part in hundreds of operational missions and was decorated for shooting down 5 enemy aircrafts, 4 of them in a single mission. In 2002 The Air Force commander awarded Eytan with a medal of honor as an "outstanding reserve officer" and gradually promoted him to the rank of Colonel. He will continue to train future generations of fighter pilots as an instructor in the Air Force academy.

Eytan studied mathematics and computer sciences at the Bar Ilan University 1984–1987, and in 1992 was awarded an MBA from the European University.

In 1985 he founded and managed a group of companies which grew from a nascent Israeli start-up to a multi-national enterprise employing thousands of people worldwide.

Mr. Stibbe serves as a board member of the Center for African Studies at BGU, is a member of the Clinton Global Initiative, a member of the African regional World Economic Forum as well as a board member on several NGOs dedicated to education and leadership such as the Ramon foundation, the Art and Culture Foundation and more.

Eytan is 54 years old, married to Ora and they have three children, Amit 26 an Air-Force pilot, Shir a Medical Student in The Hebrew University and Yoav 18 completing his high school studies.
