Program Overview
Our Academic Gap Year program gives a head start to your academic life with a full year or semester abroad, enabling you to explore university life at one of the world’s best universities.
When you’re studying at a Reuters Top 100 University, complete with challenging and inspiring academic course options, your academic career is about to get super-charged. And with additional university credits with which you can apply to a degree program, you may even be able to complete a university degree sooner than you envisaged. So, don’t think of a gap year as a “year off”, but more of a “year on”.
You may even be able to incorporate an internship into your gap program (if you have previous work or intern experience) or take our service learning courses (there is one offered each semester), which give you the chance to volunteer in Tel Aviv communities and make a lasting local impact.
You’ll also have the independence to explore your passions while living on the doorstep of Tel Aviv, Israel’s cultural, commercial, and creative center. With the non-stop city for inspiration, it’s no surprise that gap students typically go on to display higher academic performance in their undergraduate studies than other students!
Most of our gap students enjoy living on campus in our fully furnished dormitories. Our on-campus housing offers 24-hour security, a Student Life Team (called Madrichim) available 24/7 who live on premises, and most importantly, a welcoming and inclusive environment where life extends beyond the classroom.
Apply now to start that journey of non-stop discovery and innovation; a fascinating and diverse campus life awaits you at Tel Aviv University…
