The Program The Kellogg-Recanati International Executive MBA is a program conducted jointly by Northwestern University's top-rated Kellogg School of Management and Tel Aviv University's Recanati Graduate School of Business Administration. Two years in length, with a curriculum of general management studies, it is designed to enhance the skills and effectiveness of mid-career executives preparing for senior management in organizations that operate in the international arena. Upon completing the program the graduates receive a joint Master of Business Administration, MBA, degree from Northwestern and Tel Aviv Universities.
The Kellogg Global Network The Kellogg-Recanati International Executive MBA is one of six academic partnerships that the Kellogg School has established around the world as part of its vision of a learning network that share Kellogg's commitment to academic excellence and a global understanding of management, with emphasis on team leadership and the power of diversity. The other partnerships are located in Chicago, Miami, Koblenz, Hong Kong, and Toronto.
International Opportunities The Kellogg-Recanati International Executive MBA offers its students opportunities to increase their understanding of global business issues. Four courses are studied at Kellogg, together with students from other partnerships in the Kellogg global network. In addition, the program offers students a one-of-a-kind opportunity to complete elective courses at one of the partnering programs around the world.
Curriculum The curriculum integrates all managerial disciplines with an emphasis on the international aspects of business administration. It includes two weeks of studies at Kellogg, a field trip to an overseas emerging market and an optional international week at one of the schools belonging to the Kellogg global network.
Participants The participants in the program represent a wide variety of nationalities and bring to the class the business experience they have gained in a variety of industries in the global market. The program is designed for carefully selected promising mid-career executives with substantial experience in management. The typical class has students from firms of various sizes – from leading multinational corporations to small businesses – and from public and non-profit organizations. This diversity creates a stimulating learning environment. Executive MBAs work full time while earning their degrees. The benefits of this ambitious schedule are clear: Executive MBAs don’t have to wait until graduation to test classroom strategies on the job – they can do it right after the weekend.
Faculty Teaching at the Kellogg-Recanati International Executive MBA program is done primarily by selected senior members of the Kellogg and Recanati faculties as well as selected Kellogg network faculty members. Among the members of this community of teachers in the Kellogg-Recanati program are experienced practitioners and teachers of executive programs in a variety of contexts on different continents, who consistently establish meaningful learning experiences for participants in their classes.
Networking Kellogg-Recanati students begin their second year by attending a two-week live-in module at Northwestern University's lakefront campus in suburban Chicago. Participants from all other Kellogg global partnership programs make this module rich with international experience, insights and understanding. At the end of the module, not only has a great deal of learning taken place, but participants have immensely expanded their global networks. This networking opportunity is further enhanced during the second year of studies when each program in the Kellogg global network invites participants in the other programs to study with its students. The Kellogg-Recanati program offers two such weeks where participants in other Kellogg programs are invited to study in Tel Aviv. Alumni ClubsUpon completion of the International Executive MBA program, graduates join a network of over 50,000 Kellogg alumni throughout the world, 17,000 Recanati alumni, and 550 Kellogg-Recanati alumni. The three clubs provide platforms for social and professional interaction, including alumni directories, alumni e-mail forwarding addresses and an array of meetings and events. There is always an opportunity to make friends and build career or business opportunities with the help of other members of the Kellogg-Recanati alumni family. There are 80 regional alumni clubs too, located in cities and countries around the world, one of which is the Kellogg-Recanati alumni club of the Middle East.
